Founded in 1995, L.O.V.E. Mentors, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization partnering with the Savannah–Chatham County Public School System to help elementary students strengthen their literacy skills—one caring adult at a time.

We are an all-volunteer organization and welcome adults from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, race, or religious affiliation. No teaching background is required—just a commitment to show up, listen, and encourage a child who needs support.

100% of sponsor contributions go directly to program implementation, ensuring our mentors have the resources they need to make a real difference. Our work is supported by faith-based organizations, civic groups, charitable foundations, corporations, and individual community members.

Currently, nearly 90 volunteer mentors serve about 95 students each year in eight elementary schools across Chatham County. Our goal is to grow to 150 mentors, so we can reach more students and help even more children build confidence and literacy skills that last a lifetime.
